The Renaissance sees Spanish fashions dominate.  Lower necklines and exaggerated belled sleeve comes into fashion.  Gowns are highwaisted and fall in voluminous folds at the back.

Hair is worn up and uncovered. Flowers were used to accent the crown or jeweled bands or combs were worn. Another favorite was a lace shawl draped over the head. These were usually made by a family member.
